A Finish!!

I am really trying my best to keep busy and not have idle hands!

I managed to sew the binding on this reversible quilt and then asked my mom very nicely if she will do the handwork and sew it down... I really didn't feel like fiddly work..... she brought it back the next day: done and dusted! I made this quilt for my kitchen and it looks very pretty under the parrot's cage!( It is covered by a protective see through plastic cover!)

While my mom was sewing the binding down, I unpacked my hand sewing project and got going!

I needed like a total of 5 cream triangles and I just started hand stitching and VERY quickly produced those last 6 cream triangles! (each triangle consists of 3 pieces).
I even made started making half triangles to fill in every second row! I 'm surprising myself!
Now I am piecing the cream triangles to the hexagons as I have a moment sitting in front of the TV with my husband! Really enjoying it!

  2. I like what you did with those string blocks. Someone donated some string blocks for Sandy relief quilts, not enough for a quilt, and I've been wondering what to do with them - maybe I'll try something like this. Be well!
