Yesterday I unpacked my Singer Featherweight and stitched with it for the very first time! When I received it about 3 weeks ago I tried it out but it wouldn't work, so I took it to the Singer agent and asked them if something was wrong, because I couldn't get it to work..... it turned out that the bobbin timing was out and it had to be adjusted. They fixed it up for me and I was ready to go! BUT, then life got in the way and I just didn't have an ideal opportunity to sew on my new baby.
Well, yesterday the weather changed from sunshine to rain and I thought well, the customers will stay away, so I unpacked her. Needless to say, my expectations was wrong, the customers weren't phased by the few drops, but I did get a few moments to stitch! So cute! It purrs softly in your ears and the stitches are just so neat! I am busy sewing Edyta Sitars 2" Half Square Triangles on paper so I don't need to aim for a perfect 1/4 inch seam, I'm aiming for the line so it is so easy and very quick. When I'm done, I'll have 700 HST!!
Oh, lucky you!! I want a featherweight only because it is so cute. I really don't need one. Unless you can convince me I need one??
ReplyDeleteI have 3 of those sweet machines! I love them!! Did you know that the light doesn't have to be on for it to work? I happened upon your blog….its so fun, Thanks for sharing!!
