HOORAY!

A finish in the nick of time! This quilt I started at least 4 to 5 years ago for my eldest daughter.... and finished it yesterday afternoon. Everything I did was first approved by her... she wanted only in the ditch quilting and that's what I did. Strangely, I always thought a quilt that only has stitch-in-the-ditch quilting is not "quilted"; but that was her choice, she wanted it soft and comfy! That's what I did! I used Quilters Dream Wool batting and one can actually see on the photo the puffiness of the quilt.
She is leaving home soon (the 10th of January) to go to University (almost a 1000 miles from home!)
and at least she has a quilt! I am very happy with the end result AND it is a FINISH for November!

This little heart purse I saw on Facebook and there was a picture tutorial attached and I thought I will give it a try. I printed a heart drawing from the Internet, stuck it on cardboard, made my templates and fired away! I actually made two, will gift it to my little nieces for Christmas! They are about six inches across the zipper, so they can be used as wallets or for a lip ice or so....

  1. Lieflike kwilt vir jou dogter. Nou kan sy snoesig slaap - amper soos by die huis - wanneer sy ver is.
Die hartjie-beursie lyk oulik. Ek is seker die meisies gaan dit baie geniet.
