BeforeWhat a difference free motion quilting makes! A friend made this quilt in 2009 and only used stitch in the ditch to quilt it. Now their guild is having an exhibition and she asked me to quilt the light areas with feathers.One cannot see the difference without clicking on the photo to enlarge it to real size: but I must say: what a difference the feathers made!!

I took the after pecture outside and the blue almost shines so brilliant it looks! She might be collecting the quilt today, I surely hope she will be happy with the work I did. I wanted to do the quilting on my Bernina 820 with the BSR, but alas, my machine troubles is still testing my patience, so I had to do it on my Artista 200 with NO PROBLEMS! My Artista doesn't have BSR, and that is how I quilted for years, but one would like to use new features if it is avaiable to you??? Do I sound frustrated? Well, my machine can visit my dealer while I am on my trip.
You're so right! What a difference! Of course, your quilting is lovely! Hope your machine is okay. I sometimes think all these new gadgets are helpful but just break down more.
