Cape Argus Cycle Tour

Today my hubby and I took part in the biggest cycling event in our country : 110 km in a circle route around the Cape Peninsula. Almost no wind and a temperature of 32 deg Celsius! A perfect day!! it took us 5 and a half hours to complete and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute! I know a lot of people does it much quicker, but that's my best and I am happy and my husband is very proud of me: and that is all that counts!!

This is one of my longtime UFO's I pulled out of the cupboard and started working on again. It is a quilt I started at least 3 to 4 years ago for my eldest daughter (Lindie). She turned 18 two weeks ago and thought I could maybe get this quilt done for her this year.... only one more block to do, then sashings and a border..... maybe tomorrow I could get the last block done if my shop is not too busy...

My hubby is totally hooked on a series called Boston Legal and he likes it if I watch TV with him, so I am crocheting my woolen carpet. It is coming on nicely, I am halfway almost! Thoroughly enjoying it!

  1. Baie geluk met die voltooing van die Argus. Bly om te weet julle het dit geniet.
Lieflike blokke en ek hou van die pers kleurskema.

  2. I love your pink quilt! It's perfect for a girl of any age. It's wonderful that you took part in the cycle tour. I think your time was great! Congratulations!

    1. Thanks you Rosemary! Had a chance this morning to finish the last block.

  3. Dankie Elzaan. Het vanoggend toe kans gekry om laaste blok te maak!
